On Fat Tuesday it is a day for paczki in my hometown. Paczki is a delicious Polish confection designed to use up the lard, eggs and sugar – things that were forbidden during lent. This youtube clip from Michigan shows paczki as I grew up with. Although I am not Polish (James is though), paczki will always be a fond memory and something I would love to learn to make.
